HONOR, a Chinese smartphone brand, has secured the top spot in smartphone sales in China during the third quarter, with a market share of 18.3%, according to Counterpoint Research’s report.

As seen in the above figure, HONOR bags the first position while Vivo and Oppo are on second and third position respectively, during the same period. While Apple was on fourth position securing 14.2% market share.

Honor returned to the top spot after over a year, with its 3 new foldable models enhancing its position in the high-end US$600 segment. Apple launched the iPhone 15 series but saw lower- than-expected demand. Although the highest-end iPhone 15 Pro Max was more well-received, it faced supply constraints in the early sales period.
