During ‘Impact Up,’ Kailash Palanchoki, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce in Kavre, FNCCI, shared insights into the startup spirit, revealing a fascinating duality in perspectives. The event set a collaborative tone, enriched by Ramesh Ghimire, Faculty Advisor, highlighting KU’s commitment to entrepreneurship through practical projects, incubation, and grants.

The activities began with the ice breaking session, allowing entrepreneurs to introduce themselves authentically. Round table discussions brought together students, entrepreneurs, and startups to share open stories of hardship and victory, cultivating a vibrant exchange of experiences. It was followed by a panel discussion led by our panelists, Puspa Bhattarai, the founder of Group 3 Multipurpose and Machine Nepal and Anushka Bhattarai, an esteemed corporate lawyer which focused on crucial aspects including Startup ecosystem dynamics, the current economy, and crisis management. The company information session offered a concise platform for each company to share their vision, business plan, and sector specifics. In the open mic session, entrepreneurs and SMEs engaged in unscripted dialogue, sharing ideas, seeking opinions, and providing mutual feedback.

Behind the scenes, the organizing committee , composed of students from Kathmandu University and Nepal College of Management, played a crucial role in the event’s success. Their diligent planning ensured a seamless flow, fostering an environment where innovation thrived.

The impact of ‘Impact Up’ extends beyond discussions, sowing seeds of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a shared vision for a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem. Participants left with newfound insights and connections, contributing to a more vibrant and interconnected entrepreneurial community at Kathmandu University.
