Kathmandu, Nepal – Excitement is brewing for the Grand Finals of the Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk
Campus, set to take place on Saturday, February 22, at Yellow Pagoda, Kanti Path, beginning at 10:00
A.M. This eagerly awaited event will gather aspiring student entrepreneurs who will present their
innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing social challenges.
Known as the “Nobel Prize for Students,” the Hult Prize is a global initiative that empowers young
leaders to develop socially impactful and sustainable business models. This year, the competition at IOE,
Pulchowk Campus has attracted remarkable participation, with numerous teams vying for the opportunity
to represent Nepal on both regional and global stages under the theme “UNLIMITED.”
The Grand Finals will showcase an esteemed panel of industry leaders and changemakers who will offer
insights and evaluate the finalists. Featured judges include:
– Surya Karki – Director & Co-Founder of United World Schools Nepal, Surya has made a significant
impact by expanding education to over 14,000 children through 80 schools. A Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia
honoree, he is a distinguished advocate for education and sustainable development.
– Sujit Pathak – Managing Director of Veda, a digital education platform that is transforming Nepal's
academic landscape. His innovative contributions to technology-driven education have earned him
recognition on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list, and he is also a U.S. Department of State Professional
Fellow.
-Riya Pokharel – Business Development Lead for inDrive in South Asia (Nepal & Bangladesh). With
deep expertise in SaaS sales and CRM, she has been instrumental in driving strategic growth in the
region tech and fintech sectors.
